The blue bank has signed a collaboration agreement with the IE Center for Family in Business.
BBVA Private Banking has launched in Spain the Business Families Program, an exclusive advisory and support service for business families who are clients of the bank.
The initiative is pioneering “because it focuses on the challenges faced by a business family,” according to the blue bank. It includes ten lines of action, aimed at families that own companies that work with BBVA. Among others, it offers business families wealth management services, market analysis, exclusive investment solutions, wealth planning, investment banking and art advice.
The program offers a set of exclusive services that reinforce the value offer for clients of BBVA Patrimonios, the high net worth unit of BBVA Private Banking. BBVA Patrimonios serves in Spain clients with more than two million euros of heritage. Unit manages 18,000 million euros.
“The objective of the program is to establish a long-term relationship with the client, his family and with future generations. We accompany families to understand their needs, their challenges and obtain the maximum performance for their assets, ”says Jorge Gordo, Director of Private Banking at BBVA Spain.
To do this, BBVA has signed a strategic alliance with the IE Center for Family in Business, who has more than a decade of research experience in the field of business families. The alliance with IE will allow BBVA to offer Family Journey, a strategic advisory service for business families.

The agreement includes exclusive courses for second generation families, specialized training courses for bankers, research on the challenges of business families and the organization of exclusive events for networking.
“Our research is supported by the rigorous and systematic analysis of data, as well as case studies of reference families. We trust that all this experience will contribute to adding value to the Business Families Program and to BBVA Patrimonios clients, ”says Carlos Mas, president of the IE Center for Families in Business.
BBVA Global Wealth, The group’s global private banking unit coordinates the Business Families Program at a global level and, over the next few months, will extend the program to other private banks in the BBVA group.
