Following this meeting, BBVA management has exhausted the period of informal conversations contemplated in the banking agreement and the formal period begins now of negotiations required by the Workers’ Statute.

Already within the formal period, the bank will hold a new meeting with the unions this Thursday, in which it will present the technical report that justifies the ERE and the economic conditions of the adjustment.

They add that BBVA “sold them the sense of belonging” and that the staff has responded “far beyond what is necessary, both before and during this pandemic.” “Now, this company shows that it cares very little about us, it abandons us without giving an explanation,” they lament.

The positions of the management and the unions have been distanceds since the beginning of the negotiation, to such an extent that the unions have come together to begin mobilizations starting next Monday, as Invertia has already reported.
