María Fanjul leaves Inditex for family reasons after six years at the helm of the coordination of the ‘online’ business of the group, where it landed in 2014, as confirmed to Europa Press by sources from the company founded by Amancio Ortega.

Specifically, Fanjul, who prior to her signing by Inditex was CEO of the entrance, landed in the Galician group to coordinate the online sales business of all brands, with the exception of Zara, which in 2014 had already developed its integrated model.

According to Vozpópuli, although it supported all brands, the objective was to especially promote all those that were not Zara, at that time the most consolidated.

Specifically, Fanjul held a newly created position in the firm founded by Amancio Ortega in October 2014, reporting directly to the CEO of Inditex, Pablo Isla.

After Fanjul’s departure, the company does not see the need to appoint a substitute considering that the group’s chains have “very robust” teams to continue their growth, for which Inditex will amortize said position.
