Sacyr completes the sale of 49% of 7 Chilean concessions for 440 million

  • The operation will have no accounting impact
  • The construction company will allocate part of the funds to reduce corporate debt

Sacyr has materialized the sale to the investment fund Toesca 49% of seven concessions in Chile for 440 million euros (including associated debt), an operation that was announced in April and that has been closed after having met the conditions precedent contained in the sale contract.

Since the Spanish group will maintain control of the aforementioned assets, they will continue to consolidate globally and, therefore, the operation will have no accounting impact, has informed this Friday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Assets included in the transaction there are five highways, totaling 701 kilometers, the Antofagasta Hospital, with 671 beds, and the El Tepual Airport.

Sacyr will allocate part of the funds obtained to reduce its corporate debt, At the same time, this divestment will allow it to finance other projects in Chile, such as the Los Vilos-La Serena highway, recently awarded; the Américo Vespucio Oriente, under construction, or the Arica and Puerto Montt airports, awarded a few months ago.
