Sacyr, FCC, Acciona and Ferrovial will build the Mediterranean Corridor in Almería for 371 million

  • The consortium of Sando and Aldesa, and Comsa also obtains works

FCC, Sacyr, Ferrovial and Acciona will build the bulk of the layout of the Mediterranean corridor as it passes through the province of Almería for an amount of 371 million euros.

The group controlled by Carlos Slim and the one chaired by Manuel Manrique have resulted this Friday winners of the execution of two sections of this infrastructure totaling 225 million euros, according to Adif.

These contracts are in addition to the one that Acciona and Ferrovial were awarded in consortium at the end of last January for 146 million euros.

The works of this route of the Mediterranean Corridor will last between two and a half years and three years (between 32 and 36 months) according to the execution deadlines set in the works contracts with which Adif gives a new impetus to the construction of this infrastructure.

Specifically, Adif, at the meeting of its board of directors this Friday, has awarded Sacyr the construction of the 17.8-kilometer long section of the Mediterranean Corridor between the towns of Arejos and Níjar, for 118.52 million euros. euros.

Be your side, FCC, through its subsidiary Convensa, has been carried out with the execution of the route from Níjar and the Andarax river of 25.5 kilometers in length and for an amount of 106.65 million euros.

For its part, the public railway network management company has commissioned the alliance between Sando and Aldesa to build the 8.86 kilometers of line between the Murcian municipalities of Nonduermas and Sangonera for 86.57 million.

These three works contracts they join the two already awarded in January, when Adif decided to award Acciona and Ferrovial the execution of the 25.7 kilometer section between Pulpí and Vera (Almería) for 146.64 million.

In addition, Comsa was also hired to build the line between the Río Andarax and El Puche for 6.02 million euros.

On the Murcia side, two sections of works are currently being tendered and pending adjudication and pending to launch the railway integration in Totana, for which different solutions are being analyzed, while the project for the one corresponding to Lorca is being drafted.
